Evolugen is excited to officially announce our 17th annual philanthropic event, Illuminate the Night taking place on May 30. We are soliciting donations from our generous partners to reach our ambitious fundraising goal of $250,000, which will benefit organizations in the Gatineau and Ottawa area.
Together we can double our impact, as all proceeds raised through this event will be 100% matched by Evolugen/Brookfield Renewable. The proceeds will be distributed to organizations that focus on improving community services, health, education & research, environment, and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.

Donate a Gift to The Giving Alley
We’re seeking donations of products or services (items, gift cards, gift baskets, etc.). These donations will be featured on The Giving Alley, where guests can donate to one of the organizations to select a surprise gift envelope. Thanks to these generous donations, last year we raised an additional $10,000.

Supported Organizations
This year, your generosity will support four organizations in the region whose missions are near and dear to our hearts:
Gatineau Social Pediatric Centre
The Gatineau Social Pediatric Centre provides services and resources to vulnerable children within the Outaouais region to promote overall youth development and well-being.
Butterfly House
Butterfly House will be the only pediatric palliative care home in the Outaouais region offering care and services to critically ill children with limited life expectancy. It will also offer respite to families who are often exhausted. The Butterfly House will add life to days when it is no longer possible to add days to life.
Dress for Success
Dress for Success supports women and gender nonconforming individuals in the National Capital Region to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help them thrive.
Soaring Circle (formerly I Love First Peoples)
Soaring Circle (formerly I Love First Peoples) empowers Indigenous children and youth to succeed through education and the motivation to stay in school. They bridge communities through practical projects that promote reconciliation and education with the masses.
In addition to these organizations, we will be supporting many others in the communities where we live and work in Canada through our donation matching. Since our first annual philanthropic event, together, we’ve raised more than $6M for charitable organizations across Canada.
The Event
Our donation partners are invited to the Illuminate the Night event for an evening of gourmet dining, entertainment and networking with Evolugen/Brookfield Renewable leadership, leading businesses across the region, and the dedicated organizations that will benefit from our support.

Caro Galland, Painter
Caro Galand is an independent painter inspired by nature and life. Her acrylic paintings on canvas or wood are, for the most part, a reflection of places and personal experiences that have marked her.
During the evening, Caro will be doing a live painting, which will then be auctioned for the benefit of one of the organizations supported.
